In all sources describing the mediation process, experts urge to distinguish and not confuse the two concepts: mediation and meditation. Although these phenomena have much in common :);)
In the mediation process, the parties and the mediator work together on the conflict situation using different practices, tools and techniques. But at the same time there is an internal work of participants, which is not so noticeable, but no less important. There is a rethinking of his ego, tracked interests, states, thoughts, emotions, feelings. The result is the transformation of perception of the problem, situation, relationships, worldview and yourself in all this.
After mediation, neither the parties nor the mediator will remain as they were before.
The transformational model of mediation aims to change the reactions and restore relations between the participants in mediation, then the problem or dispute is resolved as if by themselves, and in fact there is a change in itself.
Mediation does the same, but not exactly :)
